FAT 1 SKINFOLD CALIPER

Measures the thickness of skin folds in different parts of the body, according to the characteristics developed by Tanner and Whitehouse:
- pressure on the fold: approximately 10 g/mm2
- contact surface on the ply: approximately 6 x 11 mm
Allows a correct assessment of the patient's nutritional status and the sectoral distribution of adipose tissue. Lift a fold of skin with your fingers and measure its thickness with the pliers: at the top of it an arrow immediately moves on a scale graduated in mm to measure the fold of skin (triceps, subscapularis muscles, etc. ) with an accuracy of approx. ½mm.
The colored strip placed next to the graduations allows the measured value to be compared simultaneously with different reference percentages for men and women.
