Syringe filter CHROMAFIL® Xtra, polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF)

Polypropylene housing:
Solvent stability compared to acrylate and polystyrene filters
Welded, non-glued shells:
No components that can be extracted from adhesives. Filtration possible in both directions, the liquid cannot bypass the membrane
Luer lock on the input side:
Secure connection on the "high pressure" side
Luer output:
Standard Luer for 3 and 25 mm filters, minispike Luer with low dead volume and small OD for 15 mm filters

The liquid flow is broken and distributed without hitting the membrane directly:
Prevention of membrane rupture
Star distributor:
The liquid is distributed evenly over the entire membrane surface through the distributor: better utilization of the total area; the filter does not clog up so quickly; high flow rate
Color code:
Filters with 0.2 µm pores have a yellow upper shell, filters with 0.45 µm pores have a colorless one; the different membranes are marked with different colors
Low dead volume:
~80 µl for 25 mm Ø, 35 µl for 15 mm Ø, 5 µl for 3 mm Ø

Specifications:
The membrane holders are made of polypropylene (PP) and, thanks to a thicker edge, are ideal for use in laboratory robots (e.g. Benchmate™). PP housings are largely solvent-resistant and have a very low proportion of extractable substances. They can therefore be used with almost all solvents, acids and bases. All filters can be autoclaved at 121°C and 1.1 bar for 30 minutes.

Chromafil™Xtra:
With labels for method validation and certification. Undyed pure polypropylene casing. Print for direct identification of membrane type, diameter and pore size.

Hydrophilic membrane. For aqueous solutions, water-soluble oligomers and polymers such as proteins. Binding capacity for proteins 20 µg per 25 mm filter.
