Glass fiber filter type GF 9, round filter

Glass fiber filters are characterized by a high filtration speed, a high loading capacity and a high particle retention rate. Made from high grade borosilicate glass without chemical binders. (Exception: GF6, GF9). They are suitable for gravity filtration or low suction filtration. Typically much higher filtration speeds compared to conventional cellulose papers. Efficient retention of particles in the micro range. Must be used unfolded. Ideal for use in Büchner funnels for flat, perforated filter surfaces (no sintered glass models). Can be used at up to 500°C.

     Retention of fine analytical precipitates

     as a pre-filter for membranes

Glass fiber filters are made from pure borosilicate glass fibers with an inorganic binder. Fiberglass filters are resistant to aggressive chemicals except HF and highly concentrated alkalis.
