Echocardiography, also called sonography, is known as the examination of the heart using ultrasound as imaging process. Echocardiography has become, next to the ECG (electrocardiogram), one of the most important non-invasive methods for cardiac examination and an indispensable part of any cardiological diagnosis.

Echocardiography is also a valuable part of the diagnosis process for the general internist and the intensive care professional.

Sonography Tables

An essential advantage of ultrasound over the commonly used X-ray is the safety of the sound waves used. The tests run largely pain-free and even sensitive tissues, such as those of unborn children, are not damaged.
Sonography tables are available with a fixed height and with a two or three-piece tabletop. They have no cutout, unlike the echocardiography tables.

The three-piece sonography table (SO-ZK 1065/EE) is particularly suitable for thyroid sonography due to the head-down position adjustment.

Echocardiography tables - With removable or folding echo-cutout

Echocardiography, one of the most important technical non-invasive examination methods of the heart, has become an indispensable part of any cardiological diagnosis. On these AGA echocardiography tables, a cutout has been added to the main tabletop area to allow for ultrasonic heart examination.

These tables convert into standard examination tables simply by closing up the cutout area through fitting the removable upholstered pad back in (standard) or using the folding mechanism (/AA).

The echocardiography tables are available in different versions:

Frame lacquered, chrome-plated or stainless steel

Widths 650 mm or 800 mm

Heights 650 mm, 700 mm, 750 mm or 800 mm.

Height-adjustable echocardiography tables - With scissor mechanism

These hydraulic and electric height-adjustable echocardiography tables are designed with a wider height-adjustment range (up to 900 or 965 mm) whereby the frame is equipped with a scissor mechanism.

The style and position of the echocardiography cutout here is different than on the echocardiography tables and height-adjustable echocardiography tables : the echo cutout is located in the longer headrest.

SO-ZEKA 1065/EE with castors

The sono-echocardiography table SO-ZEKA 1065/EE is shown in the pictures with the upholstery colour 'ice' and the frame colour 'pure white' (RAL 9010). The castors (two of them with locking mechanism) have a diameter of 125 mm. They are available as an optional accessory (Article No. LR-125).
